This defect could result in a loss of power transfer between the transfer case and the rear axle differential.

If the transfer case disconnects from the rear axle differential, the vehicle could stall, which increases the risk of a crash. The affected vehicles are currently in dealer inventory, so no owners will be notified. Dealers will replace the drive shaft free of charge. Both vehicles were repaired in December 2020.
