If the inspection indicates the joint is compromised, owners will receive a loaner vehicle until a final remedy is developed. The final corrective action involves increasing the torque and installing a waterproof gasket to the 12-volt isolator post, along with inspecting the post for contamination. If the post is compromised, it and the associated cables will be replaced.

Until the final repair is completed, consumers are advised to exercise specific precautions. Owners should not park these vehicles inside buildings or structures, or near other vehicles.
