These vehicles were built on a Ram 4500 or 5500 chassis and equipped with Compressible Liquid Adaptive Suspension Systems (C.L.A.S.S.). The specific part numbers affected are DS135RS3A, DS135RS3AF, and DS135RS3-DM.

The recall addresses a defect where the rear brake caliper flexible line may have been routed in a way that causes it to contact a suspension component. This contact can lead to excessive wear on the brake line, potentially causing brake fluid leakage and a partial or complete loss of rear brakes, which increases the risk of a crash.

Owners will be notified by Halcore. Dealers will inspect the rear brake caliper flexible lines for wear and install a kit to modify the line mounting. If necessary, a kit to replace worn brake lines will also be installed. All repairs are free of charge. This recall began on June 5, 2020.
