The recall addresses potential failures in the welds on the outboard rear seat strikers for the second row bench and bucket seats during a front impact crash. Additionally, the front outboard seat strikers for the third row bench seats may fail in a rear impact crash, and the second row seats may not withstand required loads.
If the seat strikers fail, the seat or seat belt may not adequately restrain the occupant, which increases the risk of injury. The recall affects 30,354 vehicles.
