Plain-English summary
Carrier Corporation is recalling certain ComfortPro 210STA and PC6112 auxiliary power units (APUs). The affected units use a second power supply harness that is not protected by a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) connector.
Without a GFCI connector, the user has an increased risk of injury in the event of an electrical short. Carrier issued an interim notification to owners on March 22, 2019.
Carrier will notify owners, and dealers will install a GFCI connector and an AFCI free of charge. Owners may contact Carrier customer service at 1-800-448-1661.
