When plugged in or switched on, the lamp cord or internal wiring can smoke, melt, spark, overheat, or ignite. The lamps are approximately 63 inches tall with three six-inch diameter glass globe lampshades and were sold in multicolor and cream variants.

The firm has received 11 reports of incidents, including two shock and burn injuries. About 4,200 units were sold at HomeGoods retail stores from June 2025 through July 2026 for between $79 and $89. The lamps were manufactured in Cambodia.

Consumers should stop using the recalled lamp immediately, turn it off, and unplug it. They are asked to cut the cord and provide a photograph of the destroyed lamp following instructions at designsdirectllc.com/recalls. Designs Direct will issue a full refund within 15 days of receiving the photo proof of destruction.
