Carrier Corporation is recalling certain Aspen Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) models, including the Aspen-INT, Aspen-STA, and Aspen-PWR. The recall addresses a defect where the APU positive terminal block may have corrosion, which can result in a short circuit.
A short circuit increases the risk of a fire. Owners are advised not to use the APU until the remedy is performed.
Dealers will remove the terminal block permanently and repair the wires, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 16, 2025. Owners may contact Carrier customer service at 1-800-448-1661 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236.
