BMW Recalls 2013-2015 7 Series Vehicles for Incorrect Taillights

The recall addresses vehicles that may have received incorrect replacement left rear taillight assemblies, causing them to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108 regarding lamps and reflective devices.
Vehicles with these incorrect lamp assemblies may be less conspicuous to other drivers, which could increase the risk of a crash. The recall began on August 11, 2017.
BMW will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicles and replace any incorrect left rear taillight assemblies free of charge. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
