The affected vehicles include Standard, Heavy Duty, Extra Compaction, Tag Axle, Front Loader, Zero Radius, AutoReach, Pacific Ultra Front Loader, and Pacific Full Eject Front Loader refuse trucks, as well as Bridgemaster and Standard concrete mixers. These specific vehicles are equipped with Cummins ISX12G compressed natural gas (CNG) engines.

The recall addresses a defect where the vehicles may have been built with an incorrect fitting used to connect the low-pressure CNG hose to the CNG fuel filter. This incorrect fitting may result in a CNG leak. In the presence of an ignition source, this leak may increase the risk of a fire. Additionally, the hose may disconnect from the filter, resulting in an engine stall that increases the risk of a crash.

McNeilus will notify owners and pay for service technicians to install the correct fitting. The recall began on April 28, 2017. Owners may contact McNeilus customer service at 1-888-686-7278.
