Grand Design RV, LLC is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Momentum toy haulers and Solitude recreational trailers manufactured between July 8, 2014, and August 31, 2015. The recall affects approximately 1,975 vehicles equipped with specific aluminum black ladders manufactured by Christianson Industries.
The defect involves retractable hinges on the ladders that have a welded 'top hat' component. This component can separate from the hinge. If the hinges separate while the ladder is in use, the ladder may fall from the vehicle, which increases the risk of injury.
