Grand Design RV, LLC is recalling certain model year 2014 Momentum 355th, 380th, and 385th fifth wheel trailers. The affected units were manufactured between June 24, 2013, and March 21, 2014, and were built with 8,000lb capacity axles.
The recall addresses a defect where suspension bolts connecting the axle springs to the frame may shear. If these bolts shear, the axle spring may detach from the frame hanger or shackle. A detached spring may result in a loss of control of the trailer, increasing the risk of a crash.
