The affected vehicles have a secondary hood latch that may not properly re-engage. If the primary latch is released inadvertently, the hood may open while the vehicle is moving. This defect causes the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 113, "Hood Latch System."
