Jaguar Recalls 2013-2014 XF Models Due to Loose Charge Air Cooler Hose Clamp
Jaguar is recalling 2013-2014 XF 2.0L GTDi vehicles because a loose hose clamp may allow the Charge Air Cooler hose to detach, potentially causing the engine to stall and loss of steering and brake assistance.

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC is recalling certain model year 2013 and 2014 Jaguar XF 2.0L GTDi vehicles manufactured between May 2013 and October 2013. The recall involves 1,589 vehicles where the hose clamp for the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) hose may be out of position and loose, allowing the hose to detach.
If the CAC hose detaches, the engine may stall, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, the vehicle may lose steering and brake assistance, further increasing the risk of an accident. This recall is an expansion of a previous recall (13V-341).
Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the CAC hose to ensure its clamp is in the correct position and tight, free of charge. The recall was scheduled to begin in late May 2014. Owners may contact Jaguar at 1-800-452-4827 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
