Sika Corporation is recalling certain aftermarket auto glass adhesive cartridges branded SikaTack ASAP+ with product code 402723. The affected units were packaged on February 28, 2011, and carry lot number 3000083574. A production anomaly during packaging contaminated a limited quantity of the product.
The defect causes the adhesive to potentially fail to cure or harden. If this condition goes undetected, the glass may shift or fall out unexpectedly, which could cause injury to vehicle occupants, property damage, or a vehicle crash.
