These 48-inch, 4-blade reversible fans were sold through 43 Lindsley retail stores in southern Florida from late 1984 through 1985. The fans are white and feature the respective characters on the blades.

The recall is due to a defective mounting bracket assembly that could cause the ceiling fan to fall from its support. The CPSC notes that serious injury could result if a person is struck by a falling fan. There have been three reported incidents of these fans falling, resulting in two minor injuries.

Consumers who purchased these fans from a Lindsley store should contact Lindsley Home Decorating Centers in Miami Lakes, Florida, at 305-364-4006 or toll-free at 1-800-999-7173. Lindsley will provide a free replacement kit that includes a new mounting bracket, a hanging ball, and instructions for installation. This program replaces both the original defective bracket and any replacement bracket previously offered by the company.
