The busy boards violate the mandatory safety standard for toys because magnets can detach, posing a deadly ingestion hazard. According to the CPSC notice, when high-powered magnets are swallowed the ingested magnets can attract each other or other metal objects and become lodged in the digestive system. No injuries have been reported.
The busy boards were sold online at Amazon.com from March 2026 through May 2026 for about $16.
Consumers should stop using the recalled busy boards and immediately take them away from children, then contact Small Fish for information on how to receive a full refund.
