YOLAAH portable bed rails recalled over entrapment and asphyxiation hazards

About 14,250 YOLAAH bed rails, model BR-01, are being recalled because users can become entrapped within the rail or between the rail and the mattress.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: Scored 3 under the risk-of-harm criterion: the rails fail a mandatory standard and pose an entrapment and asphyxiation hazard, with no incidents reported.

Plain-English summary

YOLAAH Bed Rails, model BR-01, are being recalled. The rail has a black rubber hand grip, a storage pocket and a white metal base, measures 15.8 inches tall by 26.8 inches wide, and has "YOLAAH" printed on the storage pocket.

The bed rails violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails because when attached to a bed, users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress, posing a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation. The rails also do not bear the required hazard warning labels. No incidents have been reported.

About 14,250 units were sold online at Amazon.com from September 2025 through October 2025 for about $35.

Consumers should immediately stop using the rail and contact YOLAAH for a refund. They should cut the black fabric mesh bag off the upper rail and cut the black safety strap in half, write "RECALLED" on both rails with permanent marker, email a photo to [email protected], and dispose of the product in accordance with state and local waste disposal procedures.
