SereneLife Above-Ground Pools 48 Inches and Taller Recalled for Drowning Hazard

SereneLife Home is recalling about 80 above-ground pools 48 inches and taller because a compression strap creates unintended footholds that allow children to access and drown in the pool.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: Although no injuries or deaths have been reported, this recall involves a risk-of-harm product (drowning hazard) with a structural design defect. The compression strap creates unintended footholds allowing child access to the pool, which is a serious potential injury risk, meeting the criteria for High severity.

Plain-English summary

SereneLife Home is recalling all SereneLife brand above-ground pools 48 inches and taller, including models SLPORND15 and SLPORND18. The recalled pools contain a compression strap (reinforcing belt) that wraps around the outside of the vertical support poles. This strap creates unintended footholds that allow children to access the pool and drown, even if the ladder is removed.
