The recalled hinge tracks were installed in windows to allow them to be cranked open and closed. The products can be identified by the markings 'R10,' 'L10,' 'R14,' or 'L14' on the face of the hinge track. The affected part numbers are 2003558, 2003559, 2004271, and 2004272. Approximately 200,000 units were distributed nationwide.

The metal sliding arm in these hinge tracks can disengage from the hinge track, causing the window sash to fall. This poses an impact injury hazard to consumers. The firm has received two reported incidents of window sliding arms becoming disengaged from the hinge tracks, though no injuries have been reported to date.

The affected hinge tracks were manufactured from April 2024 through December 2024 and distributed to residential and commercial window manufacturers and service parts providers nationwide from April 2024 through January 2025.

Consumers should keep their windows in closed and locked positions and immediately contact AmesburyTruth to arrange a free professional window inspection. The company will provide free replacement hinge tracks for those found to have a manufacturing defect.
