What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: The adapters pose a risk of fire and burn injury. Although 272 incidents have been reported with significant property damage ($74,500), no injuries or deaths have been reported, and the hazard remains risk-of-harm without actual harm reported. This meets the High (Score 3) criterion for risk-of-harm products where injury has not yet been reported.
