Armada, Atomic, and Salomon Ski Bindings Recalled for Fall Hazard
Amer Sports Winter & Outdoor Company recalls certain Armada, Atomic, and Salomon ski touring bindings sold from May 2022 through September 2023 because the toe component can fail, causing the ski boot to disconnect and posing fall and injury risks.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: This is a risk-of-harm product where the hazard (binding failure causing disconnection and falls) is clearly stated, but no injuries have been reported. Two incidents of binding failure have been reported with no resulting injuries, placing this at the High (3) level per the rubric criterion for "risk-of-harm products where injury has not yet been reported."
Plain-English summary

The toe component of the recalled ski bindings can fail, causing the ski boot to disconnect from the ski. This poses a risk of falls and injuries to users. The company has received two reports of incidents of the front binding failing, though no injuries have been reported.
