Liusin-US, a China-based importer, is recalling approximately 40 Ejoyous-branded pool main drain covers. The white ABS plastic covers, which have a top grate diameter of about 6.7 inches and bottom mounting plate diameter of 8.3 inches, were sold online through Amazon from December 2022 through March 2023 for approximately $34 each.

The recalled drain covers do not conform to the entrapment protection standards of the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (VGBA). This non-compliance creates an entrapment hazard to swimmers and bathers. No injuries have been reported.

Consumers should immediately stop using pools with the recalled drain covers. Pool owners and operators should remove the drain cover from the pool and contact Liusin-US at [email protected] for return instructions and a full refund. All pools and spas should have Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act compliant drain covers installed, and children should be taught to stay away from drains.
