The recalled drain covers are round with two screws, a 6.69-inch diameter top grate, an 8.3-inch diameter bottom mounting plate, and are white ABS plastic.

The recalled drain covers do not conform to the entrapment protection standards established by the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (VGBA). This noncompliance poses an entrapment hazard to swimmers and bathers who may come into contact with the drain during pool or spa use. No injuries have been reported.

Pool owners and operators should immediately stop using pools equipped with these recalled drain covers. Consumers should remove the drain cover and contact Pickloud-US at [email protected] for instructions on returning the cover for a full refund. The company is contacting all purchasers directly. All pools and spas should have VGBA-compliant drain covers, and children should be taught to stay away from drains.
