Power Plus Tora Portable Power Charging Stations Recalled for Fire and Explosion Hazard

Power Plus, of Elyria, Ohio, is recalling about 115 Tora portable power charging stations with model number SGR-PPS500-2. The lithium-ion battery in these units can catch on fire while charging, creating a fire and explosion hazard. The devices are approximately 12 inches wide by 7 inches long and feature a carrying handle on top.
The recalled units were sold through shutter distributors and installers in Florida, North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia, as well as online at www.PwrPlus.com from January 2021 through June 2022 for about $500. Serial numbers 1350 through 1549 are printed on a label on the underside of the charging stations.
Power Plus has received two reports of fires. No injuries have been reported. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled charging stations and contact Power Plus for return and refund instructions. Power Plus is contacting all known purchasers directly.
