The lithium-ion battery modules within these systems can overheat, posing a fire hazard. No injuries have been reported. The systems were sold online at Amazon.com from October 2020 through May 2021.

For units connected online, Eguana will remotely limit the batteries' state of charge to reduce the risk of overheating until the batteries are replaced. For units not connected online, consumers should contact Eguana to schedule a technician to manually reduce the state of charge at no cost. Eguana will arrange for all recalled batteries to be replaced and disposed of according to federal and state regulations.
