TriggerTech Recalls Crossbow and Rifle Triggers Due to Injury Hazard

TriggerTech, of Mississauga, Canada, is recalling about 2,000 carbide crossbow and rifle triggers. The recall includes Rem 700 Carbide Triggers, AR15 Carbide Triggers, and Excalibur, Mission, Killer Instinct, and Parker Crossbow Triggers. The recalled products all have carbide rollers.

The hazard is that the rollers on the triggers can crack, causing the weapon to discharge without trigger activation. This poses an injury hazard to the user or bystander. TriggerTech has received 16 reports of broken carbide rollers, including one incident involving weapon discharge without trigger activation. There are no reports of injuries.

The triggers were sold at CanadaAmmo, Wyvern Creations, and other stores nationwide and online at www.triggertech.com from June 2015 to August 2016 for between $120 and $190. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled triggers and contact TriggerTech for a free replacement trigger with stainless steel rollers. If the recalled item has been discontinued, TriggerTech will offer a full refund instead.
