The mugs were manufactured in China and sold in the United States as promotional items by Ad Specialty Distributors from August 2015 through April 2016 for approximately $3 each. About 150 units were sold in the U.S., and an additional 24,000 were sold in Canada.
The recall is due to a hazard where the mug's handle can break, which poses a risk of burn or laceration injuries to consumers. Debco Bag has received one report of a burn injury resulting from a broken mug handle.
