Gamewell-FCI is recalling approximately 1,000 ILI-MB-E3 and ILI-S-E3 fire alarm panels used in commercial buildings. The recall is due to a defect where the panels can become non-responsive and fail to detect or respond to alarms from connected detectors.

This issue is limited to a specific configuration of Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) devices. The problem occurs only if the SLC includes at least two of the following detectors in any combination: Acclimate, 4-Warn, Photo/CO, and iFAAST, and if these detectors are addressed within the same FlashScan polling group. Detectors installed in different combinations are not affected. No incidents or injuries have been reported.

The panels were sold by authorized distributors from May 2015 through August 2015 for about $800. Consumers should immediately contact the distributor to obtain a free repair, which involves a firmware upgrade.
