Plain-English summary
Millennium Outdoors LLC is recalling about 1,400 units of the 2015 model M-60 fixed position tree stand. The recall is due to a defect where the seat on the tree stand can bend in a downward angle, which poses a fall hazard to the user. No injuries have been reported in connection with this defect.
The recalled tree stands are black metal platforms with a nylon hanging strap assembly and a green canvas seat featuring a red "M" and "Millennium Treestand" printed in white letters. The model number is printed on the packaging, and the date code MO5100 is stamped on the top of the back post. The base platform has a black metal mesh frame. The stands were manufactured in China.
The products were sold at B&H Farm Supply, Farris Brothers, Gander Mountain, Midway USA, and Sportsman's Warehouse from May 2015 through August 2015 for about $220. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled tree stands and return them to the manufacturer for a replacement stand.
