The recall involves specific batch numbers ending in "17" and specific UPC codes found on the boxes.

The cable assemblies on the treestands can separate due to corrosion, which poses a fall hazard to the user. The firm has received five reports of the treestand's cable separating, resulting in two injuries involving fractures.

The recalled treestands were sold at Sportsman's Guide stores and sporting goods stores nationwide and online from May 2017 through December 2018 for between $200 and $230. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled climbing treestands and contact the firm for instructions on receiving a refund in the form of a gift card.
