The recall is due to a laceration hazard caused by wire-edged ribbon used in the blanket's tags, which can become exposed and scratch children. The company has received one report of a child being scratched by wire that came out of a ribbon tag.

The affected products are 6-inch square soft fabric blankets with crinkle paper inside and ribbon tags on each side. Only the 6-inch square blankets with colored polka-dot ribbon tags are included in the recall. The blankets feature various child-themed patterns, including shapes, animals, and superheroes.

These blankets were sold for about $10 at various children's specialty stores in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Pennsylvania from July 2014 through March 2015. Consumers should immediately stop using these blankets and return them to the store where purchased for a full refund or a replacement blanket.
