Philips Selecon has received three reports of barndoors detaching outside the United States, but no injuries were reported in those incidents. No incidents or injuries have been reported in the U.S.

The barndoors were sold nationwide from January 2003 to January 2013 through theatrical, electrical, and lighting supply dealers for between $75 and $105. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled barndoors and contact Philips Selecon for a free safety cable and installation instructions. The manufacturer is Strand Selecon Lighting, a division of Philips Lighting New Zealand, of Auckland, New Zealand.
