Plain-English summary

Fitness Anywhere LLC is recalling early model "Professional" (P1) and "Tactical" (T1) TRX Suspension Trainer devices manufactured between January 2006 and July 2007. The recall involves approximately 40,000 units sold at health and fitness stores, studios, and online from January 2006 through December 2009 for about $150 to $200. The recalled devices feature yellow or khaki nylon anchor straps, black nylon loops, and cam buckles for length adjustment. They are identifiable by hand grips without black plastic end bumpers and the absence of a nylon locking loop at the strap junction. Badges on the straps display the TRX logo and model name surrounded by raised dots or double lines.

The strap length-adjustment buckles on these devices can break, which poses a fall hazard. Fitness Anywhere has received 570 reports of the buckles breaking, including 82 reports of users falling. Of those falls, 13 reports involved injuries to the head, face, shoulder, or hip.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product.
