Camsing Global LLC, formerly Corvest Acquisition Inc., is recalling about 10,000 LED night lights. The recall is due to a hazard where the night lights can overheat, smolder, and melt, which may cause minor burns to consumers. The firm has received five reports of the recalled night lights overheating, smoldering, or melting, but no injuries have been reported.
The recalled night lights contain flame retardant elements, plug into an electrical outlet, and feature a white or blue LED bulb with a clear bulb cover. They measure about 1 3/4 inches wide by 3 3/4 inches high. The model number "SBD01", the number "E314462", and "Made in China" are stamped on the back of the night light's plastic white base.
The night lights were distributed as free promotional products imprinted with various companies' names from December 2010 through March 2011. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled night lights and discard them.
