HP and Compaq Notebook Computer Batteries Recalled for Fire Hazard

Those who previously checked and were told their battery was not affected are urged to check again. Consumers with recalled batteries will receive a free replacement battery. In the meantime, the AC adapter can be used to power the computer until the replacement arrives.
