These shades were sold at Ross Stores nationwide from March 2009 through October 2009 for between $4 and $10. The recall includes all sizes and colors of the product that feature exposed inner cords on the backside of the blind.

The recall was initiated after two incidents involving children becoming entangled in the inner cords. In July 2008, a 20-month-old boy in a crib became entangled, leaving a red mark on his neck. In April 2009, a 3-year-old boy found with a cord mark running ear to ear on his neck was able to free himself. No permanent injuries were sustained in these reported incidents.
