The recall was initiated after six reports between March 2006 and July 2008 of children becoming entangled in the exposed inner cords. In four instances, children were found with cords around their necks, requiring scissors to release two of them. Two other children had red marks around their necks after freeing themselves. No permanent injuries were reported.
