Green Mountain Vista Recalls Roman Shades Due to Strangulation Risk

The recall involves all Green Mountain Vista Roman shades, which are identified by a small sewn-on label on the back side of the shade with RN#107875. These products were manufactured in China and sold through specialty home textile retail shops and mail order companies nationwide from September 2004 through August 2010 for between $40 and $120.
The hazard exists because a child can place their neck between the exposed inner cord and the fabric on the backside of the shade, or pull the cord out and wrap it around their neck. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reports that no injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
Consumers should immediately stop using the affected Roman shades and contact the Window Covering Safety Council (WCSC) at (800) 506-4636 or visit www.windowcoverings.org to obtain a free repair kit.
