The blenders were manufactured by Ka Po International Industrial Co. of Hong Kong.

The recall is due to a laceration hazard where the blade assemblies may come apart or break. Haier America has received approximately 60 reports of blade assemblies coming apart or breaking, including one report of a consumer receiving a minor cut to their hand.

The blenders were sold at mass merchandisers and specialty retailers nationwide from November 2006 through October 2009 for between $26 and $60.
