These adapters were sold nationwide from September 2005 through October 2009 at SonyStyle stores and websites, authorized electronics retailers, and authorized business-to-business dealers. Prices ranged from $900 to $3,300 for desktop computers and $250 to $300 for docking stations.
Consumers should immediately turn off their computer, unplug it, and stop using the recalled AC adapter. They should contact Sony toll-free at (877) 361-4481 or visit esupport.sony.com/ac19adapter to arrange for a free replacement of the affected unit.
