The hoses contain an insert that may be black, blue, or green, and the batch code is stamped on the threaded metal end. SI Tech has received six reports of the inserts dislodging, including one incident involving the death of a diver in Los Angeles, California.

Consumers should immediately stop using any diving equipment that contains the recalled low-pressure inflation hoses. They should contact SI Tech to locate an authorized dealer for a free repair, which involves removing the hose insert, or to receive instructions on how to repair the hose themselves.
