The recall is due to a defect in the mounting hardware that secures the fuel pump. This hardware can allow fuel to leak, which poses a fire hazard to consumers. Arctic Cat has received four reports of fuel leakage, but there have been no reports of personal injury or property damage.
These snowmobiles were sold nationwide by authorized Arctic Cat dealers from June 2008 through November 2008 for between $7,500 and $13,100. Consumers should immediately stop using the snowmobile and contact an authorized Arctic Cat service dealer to schedule a free repair. All known users have been contacted by the manufacturer.
