Arctic Cat Recalls 2009 Turbo Snowmobiles Due to Fire Hazard

The recall is due to a fire hazard caused by oil leaking into the engine compartment. Additionally, the fuel tank can come into contact with the engine, potentially wearing through and causing fuel leakage.
The affected snowmobiles were sold at Arctic Cat dealerships nationwide from June 2008 through July 2009 for between $12,500 and $14,300. Arctic Cat has received 33 reports of oil leaks, including eight vehicle fires. There have been no reports of fuel leakage from the tank wearing against the engine, and no injuries have been reported.
Consumers should stop using these snowmobiles immediately and contact their local Arctic Cat snowmobile dealer to schedule a free repair. Registered owners have been directly notified about this recall by mail.
