The products were manufactured by Transfar International Corp. of Taipei, Taiwan.

The recall is due to a fall hazard. The wooden rods at the head and foot of the hammock, which are used to extend the fabric, can break. If these rods break, the hammock can collapse, causing the user to fall to the ground. Collections Etc. is aware of five reports of the wooden rods breaking, which resulted in four reports of injuries, including minor cuts and sore necks and backs.
