The recalled toys, model numbers 83153 and 3321, consist of a 9-inch diameter foam saucer with a rechargeable motor and a plastic propeller. Each toy includes a hand-held "thrust transmitter" and an AC adapter for recharging. The toys were manufactured in China and Hong Kong.

The recall was issued because the toys can overheat while charging, causing the plastic motor cover to melt. This creates a risk of burns to children handling the toy. QSP has received five reports of overheating, but there have been no reports of injury.

The toys were sold through school fund-raising programs nationwide from August 2004 through September 2004. None of the recalled units were sold at retail. Schools and fundraising officials have been notified. Consumers can return the product for a replacement prize of equal value.
