Lamplight Farms Recalls Tiki Cone Metal Torches Due to Burn Risk

Lamplight Farms Inc., a division of W.C. Bradley Company, is recalling approximately 350,000 Tiki® Cone Metal Torches. These 6-foot outdoor open-flame lamps were sold at Wal-Mart stores nationwide from December 2003 through early June 2005 for about $9. The torches were manufactured in China and sold under Lamplight Farms model numbers 1263 and 126301, as well as Wal-Mart item numbers 1656121 and 1691366. Both items share the UPC number 086861012635, located on the bottom of the printed hangtag.
The recall was issued because the head and cover of the torches can come loose or be dislodged during use, allowing torch fuel to spill. This poses a risk of burn injuries and property damage. Lamplight Farms has received one report of a torch head falling off the pole when bumped, spilling fuel that was ignited by the burning wick. This incident resulted in second and third-degree burns to a consumer.
