The lamps, which were sold as a set of four for about $60, feature a 6-foot tall brown cast iron pole and a green, bowl-shaped ceramic open-flame lamp. The product was imported from China and distributed by Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

The recall is due to a hazard where the ceramic torch head can come loose or be dislodged during use. This can cause the head to break and spill torch fuel, creating a risk of fire, burn injuries, and property damage. The company has received 107 reports of the torch head separating from its base. Two injury reports have been documented: one involving cuts to a consumer's hands while picking up broken pieces, and another involving a child who received a scalp cut from a falling torch head and a skin rash from spilled oil.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled torch lamps and return them to Sam's Club for a full refund. Sam's Club is contacting consumers who purchased the lamps directly.
