The product, item No. 34/483, is a 54-inch outdoor luau torch consisting of a hollowed-out coconut shell atop a bamboo pole. The torches were manufactured in the Philippines and sold nationwide through Oriental Trading Company's mail order catalog from May 2001 through July 2001 for about $9.00.

The recall is due to a risk of burn injury. When the torch container is filled with oil, the oil may spill and burn a consumer if the torch is used improperly, moved, or jostled during use. No injuries have been reported.
