The company sold these seats nationwide from June 2001 to September 2002 for use on public playground equipment.

The recall is being issued because metal inserts inside the swing seats can wear through, exposing metal on the edges. This exposure can cause lacerations to children. Two children have been injured and received stitches to lacerations on an arm and a leg from exposed metal on the edges of the swing seats.

Owners should immediately stop children from using these swing seats and contact Miracle Recreation Co. for free replacement seats and hardware. If there are already exposed metal inserts on the edges of the seats, owners should immediately take down the seats and chains. Do not leave chains on equipment, as children could seriously injure themselves or others with free-hanging chains. Purchasers were previously sent direct mail notification about this recall.
