They were sold through Pottery Barn Furniture Outlets in Leesburg, Va.; Memphis, Tenn.; Dawsonville, Ga.; and Jeffersonville, Ohio, as well as nationwide through the Pottery Barn Kids catalog from September 1999 through July 2000. The beds were sold for about $1,100.

Pottery Barn has received two reports of beds collapsing, resulting in minor scrapes and bruises for two 3-year-old girls in separate incidents. Consumers should stop using the bunk beds and contact Pottery Barn Kids to schedule a home pick-up. The company will refund the purchase price, including shipping, and provide a $200 gift certificate.
